Intentions de l'Artiste
Cedric Charleuf was born in a small village in the north of France in 1978, the ninth of ten children. Throughout his childhood he always had a pencil in his hand however, after meeting his teacher, Sebastien Salva, he turned to painting at the age of 19.
Since then, Charleuf has applied himself with energy and enthusiam to studying the techniques of the Old Masters. After a decade of research he describes himself as a "fabriquant de la lumiere". Charleuf is a firm beliver that art can be powerful and beautiful, evocative and mesmerising, and doesn't have to be conventional.
He has exhibited in Paris, London and New York. He lives and works in Paris.
